What is RS POP?

RS POP Mission

Inspired by the talent and dreams of emerging designers and artists, Melissa Gonzalez CEO of Lion'esque Media joined forces with  John Knowles, Director of Innovation at the Roger Smith Hotel to transform the storefront on Lexington Ave between 47th and 48th Street in New York City into a Social Media Pop Up Shop, known as the RS Pop Shop. The program is an organized approach incorporating custom produced branding videos, a one month store front and sponsored opening night reception that is promoted through our social media infrastructure and ongoing online PR and blogging.

RS Pop Shop is a unique opportunity for emerging brands and passerby’s to connect in new and exciting ways via social media, marketing, and sales. Clients since inception have included: LaQuan Smith, Lolli Poppit, Simon Carter London, N:F:P Studio, Telfar, MacKenzi-Childs, Man vs Machine, Animated Closet, Tribal Couture among others. As a note to the caliber of our designers, their designs have dressed an array of celebrities including: Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Dakota Fanning, Rihanna; and some have collaborated with major brands like American Apparel and Club Monaco, and the list goes on.

The location, outside the Roger Smith hotel, is the key to our success with close proximity to major historical landmarks and high traffic areas such as: Rockefeller Center, Carnegie Hall, Grand Central Station, United Nations, Waldorf Astoria, and Radio City Music Hall. On average 25,000 people passby our window space on a daily basis. Our combined online presence (hotel and shop twitter accounts, newsletters and blog subscribers) currently reaches 9,215 followers. How does it work? We have an organized approach to building your brand presence online through the use of our media, blogs and other Social Media platforms

What to expect from the RS POP Social Media Program?

Within each installment of the Roger Smith Pop-Up Shop there are certain things that one can expect:

1. A pre-produced brand profile video.

2. Your own NYC storefront located street level at lexington between 47th and 48th streets.

3.  Fashion Merchandising team on hand to assist you in the installation of your pop up shop on day of arrival.

4. An opening night cocktail event that is sponsored and promoted through the social media infrastructure at the Roger Smith Hotel and Lion'esque Media.

5. Brands who participate will be featured on a series of blogs and websites for the month as well receive POP-UP PR support from Lion'esque Media.
